Happy Birthday Kyle, Katelyn, and Travis!

We had a very busy weekend. Cousin Kyle (7 yrs), cousin Katelyn (3 yrs), and Uncle Travis (the big 40!) all had birthdays to be celebrated. Saturday all started at Jump Zone. Walker would not get on the inflatables because of the movements. So, he had tons of fun running around chasing his cousins.
From there, we took Walker by to see Daddy Ralph and Nanny. He stayed there and played until around 5:30. Keep in mind... NO NAP.
We picked him up and went straight to Travis' party. There, he had a blast. We didn't get home till 8:30p.m. Needless to say... we were exhausted! I've included several pictures from the day. Enjoy!

Walker and Kyle

First piece of cake that day!

Travis (Zac's uncle)... Happy 40th! Awesome party!

Second cake of the day...

Travis with the kids... Walker blew most of the candles out before they were all ready. It was too funny!

Walker was all about the balloons. Travis kept giving him one at a time, and by the end of the night, Tim decided he needed the entire bunch.

I wanted to include this cute picture... Walker likes to walk Calvin

(Daddy Ralph and Nanny's dog).

Walker is wearing Zac's soccer team shirt from when he was around five years old. I love when he wears his shoes too, especially the boots. I've got to get that picture soon.

Walker's Bug...

I love little boys! I can take Walker outside and he will find anything... worms, bugs, GARBAGE (in parks, not my yard!)! Hee-Hee. This was so funny. The "June Bug" grabbed on and wouldn't let go of him. I thought Walker would scream and freak out but he loved it. He put it on his tricycle and rode it around the driveway. The first time Walker held a bug, he squished it. I didn't want to see what might come out of that big bug! Thankfully he was careful.
He got tired of it and threw it in the yard. Enough of that!

WALKER UPDATE: Walker has completed his first week of daycare. He hates the separation in the early morning but loves the entire day with the other kids. He even goes down for his scheduled nap times. I am so proud of him. His day is very structured. I'll try to keep you updated on the funny moments of NaNa's house.
Still not potty trained, but close!

Beach Trip '08

We had a wonderful time at the beach. There are so many pictures I would love to share, but I will keep it short. If my computer wasn't on dial up I would insert a slide show of all the pictures, except we would be back from next year's beach trip before that would upload.

Walker's constant snacking...

This is the awesome play area for the kids where we stayed. It had tons of water shooting out of the ground. Of course, as you can tell... Walker LOVED it. We spent alot of time there.

Zac and Walker on the dolphin cruise we took on our last night... It was very neat. I wish you guys could see the video we took on this boat. It's so cute. Walker gets so excited when he sees the dolphins jump out of the water.
I didn't get the picture I wanted. He would not sit in the sand no matter how hard I begged. This was right before we left, so I'm sure he was tired of the sand.

Our most memorable moments...
  • I had to hold Walker at every restaurant so Zac peeled my shrimp for me...thanks Zac.
  • We could not get in the water, even if we wanted to, thanks to jellyfish. We stayed at the pool most of the time. Walker will be swimming like a fish soon!
  • We were scared to walk in the sand because everyone around us kept burying the jellyfish in the sand. Yes, a jellyfish land mine.
  • The first day on the beach was eventful with it being Walker's first time to try to coexist with sand. He had a runny nose so he kept sticking his sandy finger up his nose and rubbing his eyes. He remembered the feeling because the next three days he didn't dare touch his face. Smart Cookie!
  • Zac tried really hard to make a sandcastle with Walker, but he didn't understand the concept. As soon as the bucket came up, W knocked over the tower.
  • Walker's Teva'a were a hassle to we got him some Crocs. He was asleep when we bought them. He woke up to new blue shoes on his feet. His face was priceless. And to think of it, he woke up in a great mood!!!!! Maybe I should try that more often. He wanted to sleep in them and swim. Why did I wait so long to get him some?
  • Walker drove the boat on the dolphin cruise.
