4th of July

Last year we decided to start a tradition and go to a different city each year so we could experience new 4th of July entertainment and fireworks displays. This year we went to my home town, Guntersville. It was all planned out... stay at my dad's Friday, go to Spring Valley Beach WaterPark Saturday, and watch fireworks Saturday night. Everything went as planned until we realized G'ville's fireworks show wasn't until Sunday night. We had no choice but to have our own fireworks show once we got home.
At the waterpark...
The awesome kid area Walker wanted nothing to do with...

Walker amazed us that day.
He learned to swim a few feet while his face was underwater.

We made it home before dark on Sunday to shoot our own fireworks.
Walker was excited to help his daddy...

Mary Ella enjoyed watching from inside while snacking on some crackers...

Zac decided he was going to make another tradition...
shooting massive fireworks!

Here is a sample of the big ones.
I had to change the picture effects so you could see it...

First Time To...

We finally took Walker swimming this summer. We went to Point Mallard because they have the perfect kid play area. Walker enjoyed it for the slide but mainly he wanted to swim with Zac in the big pool. He even was brave enough to get into the wave pool. I know he will be swimming on his own any day now. He LOVES the water!

So here it is... First time to slide into water!

Major Event!!! First time to sleep in his own bed. It took a little tricky and creative thinking to make it happen but it worked! Hint: Look who's sleeping with him. :)

Mary Ella's pulling up onto everything now. She is 8 months old and has 2 teeth. She is such a big girl and HAPPY HAPPY HAPPY!

While I was getting our bags packed to walk out the door I heard Walker reading his Bible stories book to Mary Ella. She was really enjoying it. How precious are they?

Here's a couple pics from Grandmother's house. We go there every Sunday after Church to visit. Steve took these. He usually gets a few good shots that I can't ever get!
